Dear Colleagues:
The ALA RUSA STARS Research and Statistics Committee developed a short
survey to gather information on what libraries are doing with statistics
in support of resource sharing services and what types of statistics
libraries wished they had. This survey should only take 5 to 15
minutes. If you are currently doing anything with data or would like
to but have known barriers in your way please help us out by taking the
survey by September 10.
The survey can be found at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=_2bpOADt58xt33RFqSEXocuQ_3d_3d
How the data will be used: The ALA RUSA STARS Research and Statistics
Committee will use the data to determine if there is any type of
projects we could work on in support of the Interlibrary Loan community.
We will also review the information for ideas in support of our 2010 ALA
Annual Pre-conference.
Individual responses will only be seen by committee members. Summary
data with specific examples that can't be attributed to an individual
will be shared with the broader community by November.
Most of us are either already partially in a culture of "data driven
decisions" or there is interest in working in that direction. Please
help everyone out by sharing your ideas.
Thank you.
