Hey! I agree with Patrick, too! I'm a big audio book borrower and this is a constant problem.

And while we're on that subject:
Let's not forget the other side of the same coin! You request a DVD, or a videocassette, or maybe a large print book, using the appropriate OCLC record- says it's a DVD or Videocassette or Large Print right there- and what shows up?
Not the format you asked for, which matches the record you used, and then when you contact the lender asking if they can please send the right format, they don't have it.
(Wouldn't mind so much if sometimes the reply didn't come along with some attitude!)

Three times in the past 2 days I have had various requests for DVD's from 3 different libraries. I faithfully check the OCLC and/or ISBN numbers to make sure that what I have matches the request, pull the item, etc., etc. That's when I see in the notes field or elsewhere "Needs VHS only"! URG!! Yes, I should read the notes field first but if you want VHS please find the VHS record before making the request! It's like finding the record for oh, I don't know, a Black Sabbath CD and then putting a message in the notes field that what you really want is a large print copy of the New Testament!
Thanks for letting me rant....
