[ILL-L] Changes to EMU's lending policies

Beginning Sep. 1. 2009, EMU will extend our loan period for standard loans from 6 weeks to 10 weeks for all loans requested on or after that date.  In exchange for a longer initial loan period, we will be making all loans NO RENEWALS.  After Sep. 1, if you have extenuating circumstances and need special consideration for a renewal, please contact us via email at genlend at libcat1.cc.emory.edu<mailto:genlend at libcat1.cc.emory.edu> prior to placing a renewal request.

This new policy does not affect loans made prior to Sep. 1st., nor does it affect our existing policy for "special" loans, such as reference, a/v, bound journals, etc. which will still have a reduced loan period (2 or 3 weeks) with no renewals.
