[ILL-L] Articles updated to Loans in Clio

Interesting. I haven't had that happen to me before in Clio on the
borrowing side. The only similar thing I've experienced is when I get
lending requests for loans when the borrower really wants copies (they
specify a page range). In that case I typically update to Yes Copy and
then later update in OCLC to say complete. As a side note to the
original poster, are you being careful to put your date requested by in
the date requested by field rather than in the due date field?

We update it to RecCopy, when it warns us that there's a due date we say
to do it anyway, then we remove the due date in the Clio record, then we
send it to OCLC, then we update the OCLC record from Received to
Returned.
We do use Clio to get Docline items as well as OCLC items.

What status are you updating an article request to in Clio when this
happens? Do you use Clio to request from OCLC only or also from
Docline?

Hello,
Just to set the scene, we use Clio.
I have been noticing a problem that seems more of a recent one.
If I request an article, occasionally I will update this in Clio but I
get a message that says this "request contains a due date, do you still
want to update?" I click yes, but I'm wondering where this error
occurs.
It could be me and my own carelessness, though I have been more careful
that I have been requesting a copy, not an article, since noticing this
problem.
Or could this be happening on the lending library side, perhaps they are
updating to "sent loan"?
I'm just trying to figure out this problem b/c more than anything, its
an annoyance to get an auto-generated overdue notice for an article.
:-(
Any ideas?
