[ILL-L] Articles updated to Loans in Clio

The problem occurs when the lender accidentally updates a copy request to
shipped as if it were a loan. When this happens, I go ahead and update to
'received copy' in CLIO, then go to OCLC Request Manager and update to
returned. That way you won't get those overdue notices in the 'Special
Messages/Borrower' category.

Subject: [ILL-L] Articles updated to Loans in Clio

Hello,

Just to set the scene, we use Clio.

I have been noticing a problem that seems more of a recent one.

If I request an article, occasionally I will update this in Clio but I get a
message that says this "request contains a due date, do you still want to
update?" I click yes, but I'm wondering where this error occurs.

It could be me and my own carelessness, though I have been more careful that
I have been requesting a copy, not an article, since noticing this problem.

Or could this be happening on the lending library side, perhaps they are
updating to "sent loan"?

I'm just trying to figure out this problem b/c more than anything, its an
annoyance to get an auto-generated overdue notice for an article. L

Any ideas?
