[ILL-L] Removal of Commercial document suppliers from profiled Resource Sharing groups

Does this also apply to the book sellers that seem to be proliferating in OCLC?  I find these more troublesome that the document suppliers, since we use the latter a great deal.

After research into the way OCLC profiles Resource Sharing groups (http://www.oclc.org/us/en/resourcesharing/groups/default.htm) , we have determined that there are some commercial document suppliers in groups where they do not belong.  It appears that the suppliers were entered into the groups as part of an outdated practice that is no longer valid.  For this reason, we have removed the following document suppliers from all OCLC profiled Resource Sharing groups.

The British Library (OCLC symbol BRI)
ISI Document Solution (  OCLC symbol TGA)
Proquest (OCLC symbol  UMI)
CISTI (OCLC symbol CAI)

These document suppliers will no longer automatically be added to new resource sharing groups.
This will not affect any existing Custom Holding Groups or Custom Holdings Paths that you have already set up.  It will only affect new Groups and Paths created where you copy and paste the symbols from existing Resource Sharing Groups. Please check the Custom Holdings Groups and Paths that you have defined to see if these Document suppliers are included. If you do not want your requests routed to these 'for fee' services, please remove them from your groups.
