[ILL-L] IFM?

IFM fees come out of a deposit account that your institution sets up. Most
institutions, I think, keep money in that deposit account and use it to pay
fees associated with cataloging, classes, etc.

http://www.oclc.org/resourcesharing/features/feemanagement/default.htm is
the OCLC page on this. I know that someone will correct me if I'm wrong
BUT-
if I am interpreting this correctly-on the monthly invoice from OCLC that
your library gets, IFM fees for loans would be credited to your library
while IFM fees for loans would be debited. So-again a supposition on my
part-if you charge for loans but don't use IFM for any borrowing, the fees
would reduce the total amount of your monthly bill.

Subject: [ILL-L] IFM?
Hi everyone,
I'm curious if anyone can explain to me or point me to a good resource
on how IFM works. I know that it seems deductions and additions are
automatic, but I don't understand how money gets in there to begin
with to pay for transactions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
