[ILL-L] Bookstrap Question

Apparently some libraries are doing just that... However it seems to me,
that some of those libraries (some! Not all!) are some of the ones who
are regularly late getting the books back to us - which makes sense
because their patrons are seeing our due date and not theirs! (because
they leave everything else they affixed to the strap - so I'm assuming
if they were covering up the due date they would have left that
too...but I could be wrong)
I normally put our own on any that go out to students (I normally still
use the one's I've created that have a reminder about when to renew,
etc, etc) - but for library staff I often just tape a post-it-note over
the date with our due date on it.

Subject: [ILL-L] Bookstrap Question
This might seem obvious so bear with me.
When you borrow a book from another library and it comes with an affixed
bookstrap, do you print out another and put yours OVER it? Since all
the information is there, could you just use the bookstrap that is
already there?
Or am I missing something?
