[ILL-L] Book Strap Question

We do because our bookstraps are color coded for the Circulation Desk
staff.  It's telling the staff what they need to do with the book; it's
not really for the library patron.

This might seem obvious so bear with me.
 
When you borrow a book from another library and it comes with an affixed
bookstrap, do you print out another and put yours OVER it?  Since all
the information is there, could you just use the bookstrap that is
already there?  
 
Or am I missing something?
