[ILL-L] Bookstrap Question

We leave the strap on the book and put a slip of paper in the book with
our patron name, date received and date due back at our institution. I
generally write "due there "on the affixed book strap so our patrons are
not confused with the two different due dates. If they ask I explain to
them that the few days' difference is to allow time for the item to
arrive back to the lending institution on time.

Subject: [ILL-L] Bookstrap Question

This might seem obvious so bear with me.

When you borrow a book from another library and it comes with an affixed
bookstrap, do you print out another and put yours OVER it? Since all
the information is there, could you just use the bookstrap that is
already there?

Or am I missing something?
