Effective October 6, 2008 the State Library of PA (PHA) will be implementing changes to our ILL lending policy for newspaper microfilm. Loan of newspaper microfilm will be restricted to those titles that are part of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Project, as well as a select number of other newspaper microfilm titles. The changes are necessary due to increased replacement costs and limited availability of the film. We are giving you advance notice so you and your patrons can plan accordingly.

Ø Libraries within Pennsylvania will be limited to five (5) reels per request.

Ø Libraries outside of Pennsylvania will be limited to five (5) reels per library at one time.

Requests from foreign libraries will not be accepted.

Requests should be mailed to:
            Office of Commonwealth Libraries
Bureau of State Library - ILL
