[ILL-L] Custom Holdings--I'm sure there is a rational explanation
for this....

Spooky happenings are afoot in the Policy Directory. I used it to
update my custom holdings earlier this week. Then, we began getting
conditional responses from the Library of Congress (DLC). DLC popped up
in the Tampa Bay Library Consortium custom holdings group when I was
processing a Borrowing request yesterday. I took it out, but then
discovered that the State Library of Florida -actually affiliated with
another in-state network (PLAN)- was also in the Tampa Bay Library
Consortium. Which was odd, I thought. I'm fairly sure moving the State
Library from Tallahassee to Tampa would have made the news, let alone
moving the Library of Congress into the Tampa Bay area. I checked with
OCLC to see if they knew why this had occurred. They noticed that the
affiliations listed for the Library of Congress include the Tampa Bay
Library Consortium, the Florida Library Information Network, and the
Mississippi Library Commission.
If you are working on updating or assembling your custom holdings and
they include the libraries of the Tampa Bay Library Consortium, the
Florida Library Information Network, or the Mississippi Library
Commission, you'll want to remove DLC from your listings- especially if
you use them for Direct Request.
