[ILL-L] Ultrafiche

I've never heard of ultrafiche before!  I wouldn't request it on purpose and
if you conditionaled me about it I'd decline simply because my students
wouldn't know what it was or how to use it.

We get a handful of requests for our LAC and LEL ultrafiche collections each
week (85X magnification, I think). I send it to libraries that have borrowed
it before, but if they haven't, I condition and ask 'This is ultrafiche 85X,
do you want to borrow it?' And I seldom get a response back saying that they
want it. Is it because they ordered the ultrafiche by accident, or a student
ordered it by accident directly? Or do most libraries not have ultrfiche? Or
do most libraries not know what ultrafiche is and I'm not explaining it well
enough? Thanks,
