Holly,

To the best of my knowledge, this option is turned on by default in
Worldcat. In order to see the requests your patrons place using this
method, you log into Worldcat Resource Sharing and the requests will be in
the "Review" file. If you're using another program (like CLIO or ILLiad)
the requests download automatically into that program.

To take it one step further, you can enable Direct Request, which would
eliminate the need for staff members to find and assign lending libraries to
each request. You can get more information about Direct Request here:
http://www.oclc.org/support/questions/resourcesharing/directrequest/

Subject: [ILL-L] Self-ILL through Worldcat?

A staff member pointed out that some libraries (like here!

l) have enabled something on WorldCat so patrons can request things from ILL
directly from OCLC.

Can anyone tell me more about this, or lead me to a place that explains how
it works? This is the first I've heard of such a thing.

Thanks,
