[ILL-L] RE: Removable labels revisited

We've had no problems refeeding labels once (or at most twice) through our
Laser or InkJet printers. What we do find is that this eventually
compromises the "removability" of the label adhesive.

Are we talking about Avery 6464 labels? We have an HP LaserJet 2420dn. We
do 'recycle' unused labels. The last time it jammed was 3 years ago but the
printer hadn't been serviced years before that so I guess it was "time".
After that- no problems.

Hello again,

Something else has come up in our department's attempt in switching to
removable labels on our lending materials. I heard from a colleague that
Inkjet label sheets can get jammed in printers if you continually re-feed
the label sheet into an Inkjet printer. Has anyone else experienced this?

This colleague of mine said that the sheets are not made to be "re-fed" into
the printers, and that by doing so, can hurt the printer. Our ILL operation
is smaller, so I can foresee many situations where we would need to re-feed
the label sheets.

Thanks again!
