[ILL-L] ILL for format preference?

Yes, I get a lot of ILL requests for books we have as e-books. In these cases I ask the patron if s/he knows we have it as an e-book; usually they say they found the e-book but don't want to read it on the computer, they prefer a hard copy. Normally I go ahead and order the hard copy, unless they only need one essay from the book (in which case I advise them to print it out from the e-book) or it's a reference book that would be hard to get on ILL (that has only happened once).
The ironic thing is I think that one of the reasons we started getting e-books was to reduce the need for ILL. Also, I'm now trying to get back an ILL book from a student (whose fine is $18 and growing) that we have as an e-book. Aargh!
