[ILL-L] ILLIAD and III

Hi Brian,
Thank you for this information.  What is the WebCirc 7.3 module?  Do you have to create an on the fly record for all the ILL materials to check them out using that?

It's frequently a pain, but we keep our ILLiad and Millennium transactions and patrons completely separate... for the most part. 

Basically, the only time that they come together is when a block (lost book, overdue, etc) comes into play. If we block a patron for a grossly overdue item in ILLiad, we will also block their wider library privileges in Millennium, but we don't have an automatic way to do this, we just enter manual blocks. In order to benefit from Millennium's easy notices and fine collecting features, we will manually enter ILL charges into patrons' Millennium account as well. 

All the tracking of transactions, due dates, etc stay in ILLiad. We don't check out books in Millennium, so there's no record keeping there. We do check out ILL materials at the circ desk though using the 7.3 WebCirc module though- we've been very satisfied with that.

If I think of any other crossovers that are escaping me at 8.24 in the morning, I'll pass them along...

For all libraries out there that have ILLIAD and use Innovative Interfaces...I have a question.  Have you, or are you able to, integrate ILLIAD and III?  The reason I am asking is that we currently track all ILL requests for our patrons in our circulation system.  The items also show up on the patrons' records.  We are always reviewing how we do things in our ILL department, and I was wondering how Innovative Interfaces libraries use ILLIAD.
