[ILL-L] A Friday "silly" question

I brought a pileated woodpecker chick (had about half her feathers and
was the size of a large robin) to work for a day because wind had blown
her tree home down the evening before, and she needed to be fed. I
called the reference librarian on duty that night, and she found
information to feed the chick moistened dry catfood every 20 minutes
during daylight hours which I did, and my husband built a large bird
box the next day and put it up and dropped in the chick (per
instructions from a nearby nature center), and the mother found her
within 10 minutes. She fledged soon after.

One woman brought 3 baby skunks that she was bottle feeding to work one
day, but they didn't visit the interlibrary loan office.

Otherwise just cats and mice during construction.
