[ILL-L] Quick Clarification - IFM Charges and OCLC Status

An IFM charge is incurred when the item is updated to 'received' by the
borrower.
A request can be deleted from 'shipped' status without a 'received'
update. The lender can update it to 'recalled' and then 'complete'.
This would delete the request without the IFM charge going through.

Subject: [ILL-L] Quick Clarification - IFM Charges and OCLC
Status
Could someone on this wonderful list please refresh my memory?
An IFM charge is posted when:
1. An item is updated to "Shipped" by the lender
2. An item is updated to "Received" by the borrower
Reason for the question - a lender says "Yes" by accident - but
once an item is Shipped in OCLC, you must (unless someone knows a trick
and would like to share) receive the request before you can delete it.
Thanks for the assistance.
