We use "Interlibrary Loan is a way to acquire ACADEMIC MATERIALS not held by
Grafton Library. We will not request textbooks, popular videos or current
bestsellers." We then go on to remind students that they can check items
out at the local public library with a link to that library's online
catalog. Because we also use McNaughton Books to keep a small bestseller
collection, we also advise them to request that current bestsellers be
requested through the McNaughton books request form and provide a link to
that.

Subject: [ILL-L] Help w/webpage wording

Hi all,

Thought I'd provide a change of pace from the normal citation help and ask
for help with some webpage wording. Lately I've had a number of students
that are trying to use ILL to obtain popular music items, weight loss tapes,
and basically things that aren't related to school work. Basically I'm
trying to find some good wording to say we won't request items for
personal/popular usage in the way of weight-loss tapes or popular musicians.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks
