We do allow alumni to borrow 2 books at a time. They have to live in
this county. There is no charge, but if the books are not returned, a
"tag" is placed on their records and they will not be able to get a
transcript until the book and late fees are paid.

Subject: [ILL-L] Do you let your alumni borrow books?
Hi,
This is a question for academic libraries only. Here we have been
grappling with the question of whether to let our alumni borrow our
books. I would like to ask what were the policies in other colleges and
universities. We fear that, since we don't have any sway over them, we
may lose some of our books if we lend them to alumni. If you are
lending, do you do so free of charge or in return for a contribution or
a fee?
I will be grateful to hear from others.
Thank you,
