[ILL-L] 1,000 and counting

I am slowly collecting more specific data on libraries ILL of AV policies.
Some of this is reflected on Lloyd's list of free/LVIS lender on the
ShareILL wiki, and the rest will be part of a larger project that will be
completed someday. I also will be revising our AV custom holdings groups and
paths this summer.

 

I also maintain a list of libraries that don't loan AV at all, no formats,
to no one. Today, I surpassed 1,000 OCLC symbols on that list.

 

On the surprisingly positive note, I have 816 libraries that loan at least
one format, to at least some libraries. For example, some libraries only
loan in-state, and I have included libraries that will only loan 1 format,
even if its only microfilm (AAR for example).

 

 

I have had some great email exchanges with some of the wonderful ILL folks
around the country. I have also connected with two librarians with whom I
worked in Rhode Island - none of us are in the Ocean State any longer.
