[ILL-L] Closed Requests Still Retaining Patron Data for Anyone
Else?

Speaking of ILL and patron information - how do most of you remove it
from your paper files (if you keep paper files) that you have to keep
for 3 years? I've been blacking out the names with a big black marker -
but most of the time you can still see through it... I've thought
about not putting names, or at least not putting full names on the
requests for our own patrons (we're small enough we could probably keep
up with it that way) or some kind of code or something, but that doesn't
help with blacking out the names of the patrons at the libraries we lend
to!

Subject: [ILL-L] Closed Requests Still Retaining Patron Data for Anyone
Else?
Good evening,
Has anyone else noticed that some of their recently closed requests are
still retaining patron data in OCLC? I have run into two different
instances of this today; both requests were closed within the past 3
weeks. I thought that OCLC had specifically stated that this data would
be stripped to maintain privacy for our patrons.
Regards,
K.
