[ILL-L] Closed Requests Still Retaining Patron Data for Anyone
Else?

I hadn't noticed, but actually like that the information is still
available. I never understood the privacy issue with completed
requests. When the request is active the patron information is there
for all to see; why does it have to be stripped from old requests?
There have been many instances when I needed the patron information for
completed requests and without that piece of data have not been able to
respond to patron questions. What am I missing in the need to strip
names from completed requests?

Subject: [ILL-L] Closed Requests Still Retaining Patron Data for Anyone
Else?
Good evening,
Has anyone else noticed that some of their recently closed requests are
still retaining patron data in OCLC? I have run into two different
instances of this today; both requests were closed within the past 3
weeks. I thought that OCLC had specifically stated that this data would
be stripped to maintain privacy for our patrons.
Regards,
K.
