Resource Sharing Services Coordinator - Johnson County Library (Overland
Park, KS)

Position Summary:

The Resource Sharing Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing
and managing an outstanding Interlibrary Loan unit with a reputation for
fast, efficient service. The position: analyzes workflows and procedures
on a regular basis; collects, reports, and interprets departmental
statistics; and represents Johnson County Library in document delivery
networking associations and activities, including resource sharing
networks at the local, state, and national levels and courier networks
at the local, state, and regional levels. In addition to maintaining the
existing quality of the Interlibrary Loan service, this position will be
responsible for monitoring and analyzing trends in resource sharing and
recommending implementation of processes and services of benefit to JCL
staff and patrons.

As part of the management team for the Information and Readers' Services
department, this position will also play a key role in improving access
to information in all forms for staff and patrons system wide.

Qualifications:

Requires a Master's Degree in Library Science, experience in document
delivery or Interlibrary Loan, and one year of supervisory experience.
Experience in an ILLiad environment preferred. General reference
experience preferred.
