[ILL-L] How Long Before Asking to Re-send?

I think the library that sent it just gets a message that it hasn't been
received, but sometimes they're too busy to act on it, Ed.

Speaking of the OCLC message - does it automatically go back to the
library that sent it to us in the first place when we say we didn't get
it, or do I need to put the request back in again? I hadn't had this
happen until this morning, so I'm not sure what it does actually...
(Every other time has been a case of I thought I marked that we got it,
but hadn't)

We wait until the OCLC Special Message pops up asking "Received?". It
usually takes 7 days from the date it was shipped. We'll answer "NO" at
that point and add a note that we still need it.

Hope this helps!

Hello!

I was wondering how long you all wait before saying "not received" or
emailing the lending library that you have not received an article?
Books are easy...you know you have to wait possibly a few weeks. With
articles, however, you can't tell if the lending library sent via
ariel/fax/email/mail...or can you?

We update in Clio the method of delivery but of course this is not
transferred to OCLC.

It kind of makes me crazy b/c while I don't want to be a pest if the
article was mailed, it seems silly to wait if you know an email didn't
make it through! But how is one to know? Is there a certain amount of
days you "wait"?

Thank you in advance.
