[ILL-L] Need Help - US Congressional Record on microfilm?

Hello everyone!

I have a faculty member who is looking for the 1957 Congressional Record
on microfilm. There are a couple of OCLC records that indicate
microform:

# 5302677, #13530005, #3881463, #18391165 (there are just a few of the
81 serial records that came up in my search).

This is what my faculty member asked for, in his words:

"The Congressional Quarterly publishes all of the debates that occur in
the House & Senate in bound volumes, and includes a volume that contains
all of the speeches submitted in full. I was hoping that someone has
all of the volumes for 1957 on microfilm or microfiche. When I was at
the National Archives, I used the bound volumes, but for some reason,
the volumes that contained supplementary speeches were not there and I
didn't feel like driving to Washington to look at them." (*I did
correct him on the "Congressional Quarterly" assumption.)

I was hoping someone on the listserv could guide me as to the best way
to make the request. I don't want to assume that if I put in a request
from one of the OCLC records above that the entire year's worth of
Congressional Record is on one microfilm. Also, I'm not sure which
libraries would be willing to send the microform. Of course, if one
year is on one reel of microfilm that may not be so bad.

Any advice? I could go straight to the National Archives, but I have a
feeling that may take awhile (but maybe I'm just associating them with
Library of Congress).

Thanks!
