[ILL-L] borrowing requests from other libraries

We'd just switched Circ systems when I came into ILL so the decisions
were already made for me. We don't check out ILL to libraries in our
circ systems. It's checked out to libraries in our ILL management
system- ILLiad. ILLiad has an overdues feature. Once a week we send
them out- and try to send as much as possible via e-mail. ILL Lending
requests are all checked out to one ILL barcode on our Circ system.

We created ILL patron cards and check out books on those. Currently we
are using three:

 IN-State OUT-State and Prisons

Works well for us.

Hi folks, I am reorganizing the ILL department and I would like
suggestions on how other departments handle their incoming requests from
other libraries. Right now, in order to track material requested by
other libraries we create a post card with their name and address and
then attach a bar code and check out our material to them. It is then
tracked by our library system (Voyager). The problem is we end up with
hundreds of these cards and a lot of the time we have only used them
once. We also don't have control of the overdue notices. I know there is
a better way - any suggestions?
