follow the links below for more information about the American Library

message.

Calling all ALA/RUSA/STARS members (or those willing to join)!

As many of you know, appointments to STARS

fm>  committees are made in the spring of each year.  If you are
interested in serving on a STARS committee

ns/committeesa/starscomcharges.htm>  starting in July or in renewing a
current appointment for another two years, please complete a STARS
Committee Interest Form

by March 15th.   Please note that:

*	you must be an ALA/RUSA/STARS member to be appointed to a STARS
committee 
*	terms are for two years with the possibility of reappointment
for a second two-year term
*	you may contact Stephanie Atkins (satkins at wustl.edu) with any
questions about the STARS committee appointment process.

In addition, STARS has representatives to RUSA Division
<http://www.ala.org/RUSAMAINTemplate.cfm?Section=rusa>  Committees.
STARS members can apply to be a STARS representative

ns/starsreps/RUSAreps.htm>  or a regular member on a RUSA-level
committee

representative to a RUSA committee
*	if you are interested in being the STARS representative to a
RUSA committee starting in July or in renewing a current appointment,
please complete a STARS Committee Interest Form

by March 15th.  Stephanie Atkins will also coordinate these
appointments.  
*	if you are interested in being a regular member on a RUSA

and let Margaret Ellingson, STARS Chair, (libmgw at emory.edu) know that
you've done that.  The STARS Executive Committee has been asked to
recommend STARS members for RUSA committees and we will be discussing
who to recommend in March/April.
