[ILL-L] Help with sketchy cite

Hello,
 
I am the Interlibrary Loan Librarian for North Central Texas College in Gainesville, TX.  I have a faculty member who would like to get a photocopy of an article from the Miami Herald from 1945.  However, I have sketchy information and need some help.
 
He wants an article and headline from either September 22 or 23, 1945 from the Miami Herald detailing an airplane crash over Miami.  He indicated that it may involve military planes.  
 
We just borrowed a book of Miami Herald Front Pages but apparently the article was not found on the front page.
 
If anyone can find the information, we would love to have a photocopy or at least the citation.
