I don't have access to my Ariel from the library's microform scanner.
What I've been doing that works quite well is to save each to a
multi-page TIFF file which I then import into Ariel. Since that's
Ariel's native format I don't have the issue of file bloat that so
often happens with direct import of PDF files. Once the file is
imported, I simply insert the cover page and send it on out. Due to
peculiarities of our computer setup, I've been transporting the files
from one pc to the other on CD-R, though I could also do this using a
USB flash drive. If your microform scanner can access the same
portion of your network as your Ariel pc, you can simply save the
files directly to a designated imports folder on the network, and
then pull them into Ariel from that folder once you get back to the Ariel pc.
