[ILL-L] New Emory Special Collections ILL Policy

NOTE:  the following announcement pertains only to photocopy requests; it does NOT apply to any type of loan request.  Also, it only applies to requests for Emory General Libraries Special Collections (aka "MARBL") materials and does not apply to the special collections of any of the other libraries on the Emory campus.

We are restructuring the way that photocopy requests from our special collections-the "Manuscripts, Archives and Rare Books Library" (aka "MARBL")-are handled.  Due to volume and the need to streamline processing, MARBL will no longer accept ILL-mediated photocopy requests and will accept patron requests via their online request form only.

If you have patrons that need photocopy services from Emory's MARBL, please refer them to http://marbl.library.emory.edu/Research/Reproduction/photocopies.html where they can download the request form.  They can also send an email to MARBL at emory.edu<mailto:MARBL at emory.edu> for more information.  MARBL will honor patron requests only and will not accept requests initiated by libraries on behalf of their patrons.

We will send a conditional reply if we get ILL requests that fall into this category, so we wanted to give everyone advanced notice.  If you have any questions about this new policy, please feel free to contact me.
