[ILL-L] OCLC Direct Request

Direct Request works well for us and it's easy to use. I don't know of
any fees. If you already have your reciprocal/free lenders in your
custom holdings groups, you should be set. All you would then be
concerned about as far as processing goes would be:
* Requests that don't have enough lenders
* Requests that can only be filled by libraries not in your custom
holdings groups
* Requests that are affected by any other parameters you sent up.
For example- if we own the item, Direct Request stops the processing and
it goes into our Cancellation queue in ILLiad. If it's a duplicate
request for the same item, it also goes into our Cancellation queue. Is
it still called Review in WCRS?

Subject: [ILL-L] OCLC Direct Request
We're considering using Direct Request to get us through a rough patch
during the spring semester and we're looking for more information. Do
you use Direct Request? Does it work well for you? Is it easy to use?
What fees (if any, the OCLC website is maddeningly unclear about that)
are there? I'd greatly appreciate any insight you can offer!
