[ILL-L] "Welcome Indiana libraries"

Dear Colleagues, 

I saw the announcement too. I am not aware of the final outcome of the SOLINET/PALINET merger yet, but the same question concerning consortial agreements came up in my mind when I saw this latest news.  Hopefully the powers-that-be at SOLINET, PALINET, and The Indiana State Library (it appears from Kate Nevins' letter that INCOLSA still remains) are thinking about possible ILL ramifications with these mergers.

For the time being, we at GUA continue to operate under the existing SOLINE guidelines and "list" of SOLINE (SL#N) members per OCLC Policy Directory. If anybody else knows (as opposed to "can speculate")  anything more about this latest merger in terms of ILL resource sharing, please share...???

  Has Indiana libraries joined SOLINET, or is it just sharing resources arrangement?

   

   

  If actually members now in Solinet, please be aware that SOLINET libraries have two separate reciprocal free ILL agreements:

   

  Soline (SL#N) free loans only

  SO6 (SIXX) free copies

   

   

  Being at the furthest southwest library in SOLINET, libraries in Indiana are closer to Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee libraries than LHA.
