We do this with Clio, and I'm sure it's the same with ILLiad. We kind of
ended one paper file at a time as we figured out how Clio works. The
paper with a book we staple behind the borrowing book strap behind the
front cover of the book.
I think you have to keep records of this year plus the past three full
years.
Of course the brrowing book straps are paper ... Ed.

I've heard many folks say that they keep only electronic records. How
do you do it? How and how often do you backup your electronic records?
What ILL management system are you using? What do you do with all the
bits of paper that come in with a book?
Are there guidelines somewhere for what records must be kept? (I know
we have to track copyright requests, which I already do electronically)
I'd love to move this ILL department away from paper records but I'm too
new to ILL to feel comfortable making unguided changes to the
recordkeeping.
