1. If a patron sends you a request that they could have accessed online
through the library's online subscription portal, do you ...

*	cancel the request and let them know where to find it
you fill it and apply any charges
	fill it and don't charge

[Brannan, Joyce A.] We cancel the request and let them know where to
find it.

2. If a patron sends you a request and you find it free online (and the
library does not normally have access to it), do you ...
cancel the request and let them know where to find it
you fill it and apply any charges
fill it and don't charge

[Brannan, Joyce A.] We would send a link.

3. If you cancel and tell them to access it online, how does that go
over with patrons who aren't up to speed on locating online journals or
wouldn't mind if you did it for them despite charges?

[Brannan, Joyce A.] Rarely someone might be annoyed, but we just explain
that part of our function is to teach people how to do their own
research and help them find things, not do their work for them. Faculty
tends to get more annoyed than students - I guess they are used to
places where they have research assistants. :-)
