[ILL-L] Borrowing multiple copies for a class

Hi Trish!
We will not borrow items for academic courses.
The reason for this is that we are not allowed to "compete" with the
campus bookstore. Actually, just today I got the official book list
from the store. If I suspect that a request comes in that is for a
textbook or another title for a class, I can check it against the list.
I'm sure some slip through but its the best thing we really have come up
with.
Hope that helps!

Subject: [ILL-L] Borrowing multiple copies for a class
I would like to hear people's perception of borrowing multiple copies of
a fiction title for an academic course.
Do some people practice this?
What about copyright concerns?
Thanks,
Trish
