[ILL-L] Copies of Copies...Ill Infraction or...?

We're in the midst of a severe budget crunch here so I tend to see
things from that perspective, too. Apart from examining what your
customers are asking for -which is at least borderline* invasion of
privacy- is she using her own money to copy these articles or using
library resources? Is she taking her work time to make the copies? Why
is she doing this?
(* Were I a professor or fellow student who made the requests, I would
see this as a definite invasion of privacy. And I would see that she has
an unfair advantage others do not and is getting paid for it, to boot!)

Subject: [ILL-L] Copies of Copies...Ill Infraction or...?

Hello all,

I'm new to the *serv but wondered if you might be able to help with a
current quandary. I've noticed recently that a student worker is taking
ILL requests that we have submitted for other students and making a
personal copy for herself. Is there an issue with this? I mean. There
are several issues that come to mind...but should I make a big deal out
of it?

Thanks for any help and/or advice.

Jess
