The MAILL Board is pleased to announce our WINTER 2008 meeting will 
be held on THURSDAY, JANUARY 24, from 10:15 am to 12:25 pm at the 
Orleans Street Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore,

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, JANUARY 17, 2008!!

There is No Charge for 2008 registered MAILL/MLA Members (individual 
membership only, NOT institutional membership).
There is a $5 charge for non-MAILL/non-MLA individual members.

TOPIC FOR THE DAY:
"Open Source Software"
Guest Speakers: Amy De Groff & Brian Auger of Howard County Library

Amy De Groff, Head of Library Technology Services, and Brian Auger, 
Associate Director, will share their experiences with open source 
software on customer and staff computers. Currently Howard County 
Library uses open source software for web browsing, word processing, 
instant messaging, music playback, and calendar management. This 
year, Howard County Library will migrate to an open source integrated 
library system, replacing Horizon with Koha.  More information about
