[ILL-L] Articles with lots of black area on them

Just a note, it seems that when we receive an article with lots of black
space on it, that hasn't been covered with the scanner cover or a piece
of paper, the resulting file is often too large for us to send over our
email. I didn't think this black space added to the size of the files,
but apparently it does, in addition to using toner if printed, thanks,
Ed.
