Hi Sue,
The state of Wisconsin has a great deal of statistical data concerning audiovisual borrowing and lending fill rates on our website: http://www.dpi.state.wi.us/rll/wiscat/stats.html . Scroll about half way down to the heading: WISCAT Interlibrary Loan - Media Breakdown.
The figures include materials borrowed from other Wisconsin libraries, as well as requested materials that were filled (or not) for us by out-of-state libraries. There are some types of materials we do not try to borrow from out-of-state libraries: popular music on audiocassette or compact disk, feature films on vhs or dvd, fiction talking books on audiocassette or compact disk. We will pretty much attempt to borrow anything else.
Please let me know if you have questions about our statistics. I will be happy to speak to anyone about them.

Subject: [ILL-L] proposed study of AV fill rates
Hello all,
For various reasons, I have become very interested lately in fill rates for interlibrary borrowing of AV materials. I am not aware of any published study that breaks out fill rates by material types. If anyone is aware of such, please contact me. If not, would anyone like to join me in putting together some data on the state of affairs at present?
I borrow for a group of libraries in Massachusetts (mostly publics.) I use Clio and have figured out a way with the help of the amazing Judd of pulling up reports of items requested, items received and items cancelled by material type using the MARC general material designations such as Visual Materials, Sound Recordings, etc. That data would be what I could contribute, but I'd like to get a bigger sample from other folks. Please contact me off list. Thanks.
