[ILL-L] fines for overdue ILLs

Yes, I have to take care of this on my own (though I am now getting some
help from the Circulation manager on collecting fines, and if we can't
collect we call in the Business Office).  Like you, we don't "check out"
ILL items to our patrons; I just make sure they are our patrons (we get
people with no connection to the college who want to use our
ILL-sometimes because the local public library has suspended their ILL
privileges).

Do you take care of this on your own or through circ?  We are a small
library so we don't actually "check out" ILL items to our patrons, I
take care of all of that.

At GLG, we have a fine of $2 per day, but with a 5-day grace period, so
if the book is returned within five days of the due date there's no
fine; if it's six days late, there's a $12 fine.  We don't fine faculty,
but if a book is more than a week overdue, I may refuse to order any
more ILL until the book is returned.
