Les Morris was the first person to suggest I become a librarian.  True,
I was slow to recognize in myself what he saw, but because of him I have
had a rewarding life and career.  As I think about him, I am so glad to
be approaching retirement.  I doubt I could do this job for any length
of time without his advice, his inspiration and his humor.
