[ILL-L] A special request

I looked this up in Proquest and where the image should be, there is a
message- IMAGE BLOCKED DUE TO COPYRIGHT- and the article also has a
message that it cannot be copied.  Sorry.

Hi Everyone,

 

I have a special request I am hoping someone can help provide.  A
faculty member needs clean copies of two photographs that appeared in
the Washington Post 1960.  He has already obtain copyright permission to
use the photographs, but the person he talked to at the Post said they
were not in their photograph achieves.  The same person said that the
photos might be in ProQuest.  We do not have the Washington Post online
in ProQuest or any other database.  The patron would like electronic
copies of the photos if possible.

 

These are the images needed:

 

Image 1:  "Smithsonian to Exhibit Articles of Viet-Nam Life." The
article was written by Patricia A. Sugrue, but the patron believes the
photographs were credited to Tom Kelley.  The article was published on
August 27, 1960 on D2 of the City Life section.  Patron is interested in
the middle photo, which shows Thomas Beggs and Nghiem Tham examining a
Vietnamese musical instrument.

 

Image 2: "Smithsonian to Display Altar From Viet-Nam." Patron believes
that this photo is also credited to Tom Kelley.  It appeared on
September 1, 1960 on page 1.

 

I will submit formal requests to any library that can fill these
requests.
