Good luck and best wishes for the safety of the library and the Florida International University. The current storm track shows that Fay will travel near or through Jacksonville on its way north.  I don't anticipate any closures at this time but will take a charged up laptop home for the next few days just in case that changes and we have to go lowercase. 
 
My staff and I convey our best wishes for safety to all libraries that find themselves in Fay's path.

Florida International University -- FXG and FXN -- will close today at 2pm and remain closed all day Tuesday Aug 19 due to tropical storm events.   Other libraries in Florida may also be closed as T.S. Fay heads our way.*
