[ILL-L] [ARIE-L] Comparing lists -- spreadsheet offer

Hello!

For years, I've been manually comparing Ariel lists and LVIS lists to create the , but at last I've found a way to use EXCEL to do it automatically.

It can be adapted to compare any two lists: Old Ariel libraries vs. New Ariel libraries; free libraries vs. Odyssey libraries, etc. 

The instructions came from: http://exceltips.vitalnews.com/Pages/T002251_Comparing_Lists_for_Duplicates.html   I use Excel 2007, so I had to do some finagling to figure it out, but it works.

If you would like a copy of the Compare Lists workbook, I'd be happy to send it to you as an attachment. It consists of three worksheets: List1, List2, and How To Instructions.

Please reply off list to ILL_PSC at mail.wvu.edu and tell me whether you want the EXCEL 2007 or the EXCEL 97-2003 version.
