[ILL-L] Updating to received....

Our State Library serves as a referral center. They update to
'received' but may do it when it's shipped. I'm not sure how they
handle the "returned' part. I usually don't have a problem with
checking the books from the referrals back in.

Subject: [ILL-L] Updating to received....

Hello out there......
We have a Regional Dept. which sends library materials all over Alaska
to people that don't have access to libraries.
When they make ILL requests they are sent directly to the patron. Thus
I never see the ILL's or materials so I can't update them to received.
Should I automatically update them to 'Received' when they show up on my
'Special Messages/Borrower" list??
I was wondering how other libraries handle this when something is sent
directly to a patron.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

 Thanks!
