[ILL-L] updating LVIS holdings?

I have a lot of specialized Custom Holdings by formats loaned, new item
lenders, etc., so I can't just copy in the whole Policies Directory list en
masse.  So I go through that list on www.cyberdriveillinois.com
<http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/>  and skim through really quickly for
new entries (they have an asterisk beside them).  I check those in the
Policies Directory to make sure there are no "boobytraps" (i.e., deviations
from LVIS policies) and then add the lenders individually to whichever of my
Custom Holdings groups apply to them.

 

Takes longer, but the specialized Custom Holdings lists save a lot more time
than they take to maintain.

You can use the Policies Directory:

>From the "Search" page:

  Under "Group Search", search for group symbol LVIS

  Click on "Show Members"

  Click on "Display Symbols"

Is there an easy way to update LVIS holdings in OCLC?  I see that there is a
new updated list on this website (as of 3/3/08)

Am I missing something or is there a list someplace with just symbols so its
easy to cut and paste into our custom holdings?
