[ILL-L] LVIS and overdue fines

Who are we talking about charging? The patron at your
library
who is late in returning a book you borrowed for that
patron.
If you. the borrowing library, charge your patron a fine,
the fine should go to the Lending Library. If the
fines are charged to the library that borrowed the book,
it may
be difficult transmit the money. Maybe we should return
to the
exchange of stamps. Who else remembers those days? I
came into
an office with a drawer full of stamps that were used as
currency
between libraries along with a box of script good for a
loan from
libraries that charged. Maybe we should return to script.
 We could
create them in monetary units with pictures on them. Any
suggestions
as to the picture on the 25 cent, 50 cent, or $1:00 units?
