[ILL-L] LVIS and overdue fines

Whoa!  There's a can of worms for you, LVIS or not!  I know that our
in-state resource sharing agreement forbids charging overdue fines to
member libraries. It seems cumbersome.  If you are a "We charge if you
charge" library, do you check the Policy Directory before lending to a
library to see if they charge loan fees.  Or charge them overdue fines
if they charge overdue fines.  Do you "go after them" if they don't pay
up or cut off their loan privledges?   And -what if they are then the
one library who owns the book your customer wants?  How do you keep
track of all this if you do a brisk business in both borrowing and
lending?
